Exciting combination of international bloodlines
Zalando combines some of the best bloodlines currently available in Holland with some of the most proven German lines. He belongs to the top 1% of German dressage sires in the FN-ranking.
His sire Zack is one of the current stars in dutch breeding. He was the champion stallion at the KWPN licensing in 2007. Shortly thereafter he won the Danish licensing and in 2010 he qualified for the Danish national championships with a score of 9,22. With Rousseau and Jazz in his pedigree, he truly does combine some of the most exciting dressage bloodlines. Rousseau sired three KWPN licence-winners in a row, won the Pavo-Cup and came 2nd at the world championships of young dressage horses in Verden. Rousseau also carries the extremely valuable blood of Ferro – himself an Olympic bronze medallist. Jazz was in first place on the WBFSH dressage rankings for four times and he can look back on a successful dressage career that took him all the way to the world championships in Jerez!
Zalando’s dam “Wunderschöne” is an extremely well bred state premium mare who combines Sandro Hit, Donnerhall and Akzent II. She was admitted to the elite mare show in Rastede and did an outstanding performance test (walk 9,5 – trot 9,0 – Canter 8,5 – rideability 9,5). As a three year old she came 2nd in the county championships in Oldenburg and also won silver in the Bundeschampionate (young horse championships) in Warendorf in 2009. She descends from the proven damline of “Waldfriede”, who produced numerous advanced sportshorses.
Zalando has exceptional gaits and has won multiple young horse classes at elementary and medium level. He was also twice in the finals of the Bundeschampionate (2015 and 2016).
Zalando’s offspring has proven to be of outstanding quality with one of his sons (Zum Glück) achieving a fantastic 4th place at the finals of the Bundeschampionate in 2018. Zum Glück was then sold to the dreassage team world champion Sönke Rothenberger.
